I am sooooo excited! (I live in Ft. Lauderdale, FL). I don't care if I have to drive all by myself, crawl through broken glass, or walk over hot coals - I'm going to be there. It's going to be so great to get to meet David Warner... I can finally die a happy woman. LOL! |

With any luck (and money) I may see you there! I'm already trying to figure out how to make it to Spooky Empire earlier that month since Malcolm McDowell's going to be there, but this is an opportunity I don't think I can pass up.

Swift and Kim, it would be great to meet you guys as well. It would be cool if you guys can make it! I'm currently trying to decide how I'm getting there. That's the only hiccup I'm running in to. I may just take a Greyhound bus. I will definitely post here about my experience meeting him. One of my co-workers caught me smiling to myself. I had to explain to her that I may FINALLY get to meet my favorite actor. She quickly understood! lol | |

No problem, Swift! I have decided to rent a car and drive up there. I will be getting my tickets for the event on Monday after my check clears. I can't waiiiiiit! I plan on going to the Saturday event. How about you two? | |

The General Admission tickets get you in the door (price depends on which day you're going), and access to Q/A, etc. Professional photo is $40 and autograph is $30. I'm not sure if he'll be there on Sunday, but he will be on Friday and Saturday. Perhaps I should call back and find out which hours, since I'll be making a five hour trek to the event. (See what I did there)?
BTW... I had a dream last night that I was watching him live on stage, and he was playing the part of Jesus. Weird dream, but cool that he was in it!

Sorry, only just realized I never answered your question, Cheryl. If I'm able to go I'll probably shoot for both days, just in case, but if I have to narrow it down to one day I think Saturday's more likely than Sunday. Lots of stuff to figure out (money, work schedule, roommate's schedule, etc.) before I even know if I'll be going. Ugh. Unfortunately I pretty much work six days a week, every week, so I'll have to ask for time off.

I know what you mean, bud. I'm getting really excited, although this "small" 5 hr. trip is getting more and more expensive by the second! I'm having to pay my way, plus three other people, at $45 a pop! Plus, there's the autograph cost of $30 plus a professional pic together with him of $40! That's $250 right there... Plus renting a car because mine doesn't have air conditioning, then there's gas for the trip there and back, so you figure $300. This trip is costing me close to $600!!! I'm starting to have second thoughts... It's just that I want my friends to be able to go, and they have it really rough right now, and this is a once in a lifetime opportunity because WHO KNOWSSS when he'll be back in our neck of the woods again? If they were paying for themselves it wouldn't be so costly. And I'm not one to ask for it back. Call it an early Christmas? lol. I'm living on Ramen noodles and hotdogs right now just so I can penny pinch! LOL! All this to spend 1 or 2 hrs there (David's the only celeb we want to meet). I'm probably going to have to ask for that Friday off so I can get to bed at a decent hour because I work until midnight Monday-Friday. I plan on being really tired... lol. But hey! You only live once, right? |

Oh Wow!! 600$!!! That´s a lot of money. I´m so happy to have an nice autograph for free. OK, I would be grateful, too, to be on a pic right in his arm, mhhh. LOL, but that´s too much to spend for me. Plus paying a flight ticket there and back home. I would be probably totally bankrupt!!!!

Man, I feel you Cheryl. That is definitely more money than I could ever afford. I'm lucky because I will (probably) have somewhere to stay for free. Also my plans to go to Spooky Empire and meet Malcolm McDowell (among others) seem to be crumbling to pieces around me. On the plus side, if Spooky Empire falls through (which will cause a small piece of my soul to die) then I can pretty much guarantee I'll see you at the Star Trek con.
...Assuming my work will allow me off. (That's my current snag for Spooky Empire.)

I just saw on the ticket site that DeeDub (D. W.) will be there Saturday and Sunday. I can't wait! I even have an app on my phone that is counting down to the minutes and seconds... lol I really hope you're able to get that day off! | |
