I am Reading the Sequel to Time After Time Has David read it as well? Also Hollywood is planning to remake Time After Time and to make the Sequel Too. How about Ewan Macgregor as H.G. Wells?!

Hi! Ewan McGregor? Oh yes, why not? How about Kenneth Brannagh? Would be a pleasure to see a remake anyway. But the "original" is the best. And who, do you think should play "Jack the Ripper"? Hmmm..... how about Brad Dourif or Willem Dafoe?

Ewen McGregor would be cool, but I think it would be better to have the original cast in the sequel for nostalgia.  Kind of a "where they are now" depiction in the movie (if you get where I'm coming from).  Plus, I can't imagine any one else playing those parts - especially David's part.  If anything, Ewen could play Steenburgen & McDowell's son, assuming their characters went on to have children.

Then again, I'm not a casting person.  What do I know? lol

Wait a minute, wait a minute...  I've seen this movie about a thousand times, but I keep forgetting they kill him at the end - not sending him into the future (or wherever).  I keep thinking they send him into a different time at the end because, then wouldn't that make H. G. Wells a murder, too?

It's called "Jaclyn the Ripper" , same author as "Time after time " .

Synopsis:

Jack the Ripper comes back from infinity transmogrified into a beautiful woman and terrorizes Los Angeles in 2010. Now middleaged, H.G. Wells chases the monster through time, in the process saving his wife, his marriage and his mistress.

However I love the original!

I must have typed that word 20 times and still haven't got it correct.  Transfrogimied, transgrofimed... Oh, I give up!

So instead of killing him at the end of the first one, it changed him into a woman.  Hmmmm... So does he/she start killing men?  I wonder if the story has it written so that he (she?) is finally caught in the end.  (We all know the real one wasn't, but this is a work of fiction loosley based on reality, afterall).  I must admit it sounds interesting.
