'Ello!

Um, a super-belated and long, hurk intro on my part, but I've been a long-time lurker and am, of course, quite the fan of Mr. Warner's! :V

I can't say how much I appreciate our dear admin's hard work when it comes to scrounging up Mr. Warner's numerous flicks - the gallery is just so  massive and the site et al is really an absolutely wonderful resource, and as someone who has also dredged the bowels of the internets looking for relevant movies, THE THINGS WE'VE SEEN, MAN. Er, I mean, I can empathize with how frustrating it can be to find some of these films, and the fact that you've gathered so many is beyond admirable. :>

As for my favorite works in Mr. Warner's immense career, it's pretty hard for me to narrow them down! I adored his mind-blowingly phenomenal performances in his earlier things like The Seagull , The Bofors Gun , and Work is a Four-Letter Word while I really love pretty much everything he did in the late 80's and throughout the 90's for. Uh. All the wrong reasons, probably. [ Everything is ludicrous and B-grade and absolutely nothing hurts!]   Waxwork definitely being my favorite Warner-containing movie, and Wild Palms just being the best I don't even know what.

Also, because I thought you guys might get a kick out of it, I wanted to share these photos my Sark cosplay now that it's generally up to snuff! :V

 The thing was made with infinitely more blood, sweat, and tears than I'm comfortable with recounting for Star Trek Las Vegas, and I actually flew over from Connecticut for the event. [And also to hang out with a very dear friend of mine, shhh]

and um oh god i kind of unintentionally insulted mister warner on stage oops

and then it sort of segued into 'SHE WORE THE DAMN OUTFIT FOR YOU' and they called me up on stage and there were hugs and the Tron OST and I completely died on the inside

and then my brain sort of completely shut down and I kind of ranted at him incoherently for 15 minutes. unimaginable shame and regret forever, etc, etc.

But he was beyond saintly about the whole thing and. Yeah. ;w;;;

but oh dear god even still i just keep dwelling on 'me and my big mouth what have i done' OTL

His son Luke also flagged me down, uh, before the above happened, because I think I can be seen from space while wearing this rave party of an outfit? But oh man he and his father both were pretty much the absolute sweetest men I have ever met in my life and I will never forget how i insulted my acting hero how completely amazing and unreal the whole experience was.

tl;dr: hello i love mister warner and think he's a pretty cool guy eh, acts in movies and doesn't afraid of anything

LOL! I love your humor! Belated welcome! I agree; Stuart does a wonderful job with this site! It sounds like you had the time of your life! But [insert record skipping] You accidentally insulted him? That is my worst fear... (I'll be meeting him soon). But it sounds like he understood where you were coming from though. I'm sure he knew your heart was in the right place! It's really cool that you got to meet Luke, too! You made that whole costume?! That is wonderful work! In the beginning, the picture on the far right stood out to me, and I actually thought you had posted pics of the real thing! It must have taken you ages...
