As one or two new members are registered for the site here, please post your favourite film performances, even the lesser mainstream pictures have some great performances from Mr Warner, I recommend Drive from 1991 if you can get a copy.

Ballad of Cable Hogue, Waxwork, Time After Time, Nightwing, Perfect Friday, and in Television recently, Wallander as Povel was a great performance and as the ships captain going over the edge in Hornblower too.

I always enjoyed his performances in Sam Peckinpah films. Cable Hogue was magnificent and he made a quite sleazy character somehow redeemable.

On a more personal note, I grew up with two of his great bad guy roles - in Tron and Time Bandits. In both he is so broad but never goes over the top. He actually scared me in Time Bandits if i'm honest.
