Okay, more like ' LET'S PHOTOSHOP IN THE FIRST IMAGE OF DAVID WARNER THAT POPS UP ON GOOGLE IMAGES AWESOME YEAH!!' than terrifying GCI, but heeeey.

The general consensus within the ~Tron fandom~ is that, because of the horribad z-grade acting by random no-name people, hurpadurp effects, why is that cop flailing a flashlight around in a brightly lit hallway oh god this is so stupid , and a whole slew of other things I could go on and on about, that this is nothing more than a massive trolling attempt an incredulously ambitious fan short.

But then Disney, Warner Bros. Entertainment, and David Lewandowski [the lead graphics animator for Tron Legacy, w+hat] shot the video down with within hours of its original posting on Youtube, while other Tron fan films remain untouched. THE PLOT THICKENS.

But whether this is legit or not, and I really hope it's not oh god the plot would just be so stupid. Sark, you've been in the ~real world~ for all of five seconds and someone has already jacked your bike. What are you even trying to do. the world now has some badly photoshopped David Warner in a tight-fitting bodysuit poised to spend two hours drop-kicking Bruce Boxleitner in the face for great justice.

be still my heart

edit:

Holy god-awful formatting fail, Batman! Extremely sorry for the massive text garble; hopefully I've fixed it. My kingdom and all my horses for a preview feature jashdgf.

Welcome to the site BrokenLevel, I thought as far as a fan film goes it was not a bad effort at all and these filmakers and actors involved in the short are probably using it as a stepping stone for something bigger, but it is defitnatley a fan film, see the update thread as I spoke to David on the phone about it a couple of nights ago and he said he is always amazed by the rumours surrounding another Tron movie, although he said he is not involved with it and hasn't been asked yet.
